What is ss 347h chemical composition?

SS 347H is an austenitic stainless steel containing 17-19% chromium, 9-13% nickel, 1.0-1.2% silicon and 0.30% carbon along with other trace elements such as manganese, molybdenum and nitrogen. It is known for its excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature strength, making it ideal for applications that require exposure to extreme temperatures or corrosive environments.

Is SS 347H better than SS 347?

SS 347H is generally considered to have better corrosion resistance and higher temperature strength than SS 347. It also has a lower carbon content, which lowers the risk of sensitization and reduces the risk of weld decay. SS 347H can be used in applications requiring extreme temperature exposure or corrosive environments, whereas SS 347 is not as well suited for those purposes.
