Introduction to the pipe nipple The nipple can be defined as the short stub of a pipe which has a male thread at one of the ends. It is used in pipes for connecting two different fittings. It is usually straight. Pipe nipple are used for connecting pipe, hoses and valves and connect plumbing to a water heater or other plumbings. Combination of pipe nipple is used when low-pressure discharge is required. These are applicable to only compatible liquids and not for compressible fluids like air and nitrogen.
