Flanges are those components that are mainly used for connecting or joining various pipes, pumps, valves, and much more equipment to make the piping system. The flanges are attached to each other by bolting or can be joined to the piping system through threading or welding process. The flanges facilitate good flexibility for maintenance. However, these offer easy access for inspection, cleaning, and modification.
Product details-
Stainless Steel 316L Flanges is one of the highly demanding ranges in the market that are extensively utilized due to its unmatched quality and attributes. These ranges of flanges are composed of molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel alloy that comprises a high amount of nickel, chromium and molybdenum content. In addition to it consider low carbon content that immune the flanges from sensitization. The presence of molybdenum content offers superior overall corrosion resistant properties in comparison to other grades. Therefore these demonstrate great resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion in chloride containing environments.
The austenitic structure of the flanges facilitates superior toughness, hardness and even down to cryogenic temperature. The flanges exhibit excellent creep resistance, tensile and rupture strength at elevated temperature. In addition to these flanges shows good resistance to stress corrosion cracking at a temperature above 60 degree C.
Depending upon the severity of deformation these alloy of flanges are forged at a temperature of 1150-1260 degree C. Therefore the annealing is carried out at 1010-1120 degree C and get rapidly cooled. With the common hot working practices these flanges are hot worked, thus the optimal hot working is performed at a temperature range of 1150-1260 degree C. The hardening of these flanges is not carried out by heat treatment. Thus the hardness is carried out by the cold working process.
