Description of UNS S32760 alloy-
This alloy is having chromium of 25%, molybdenum of 3.6% and nickel of 7% respectively in addition to other elements like nitrogen, copper, tungsten. UNS S3270 is the highly alloyed super duplex SS with the greater PERNB for the use at the aggressive atmospheres. It is a super duplex grade with the austenitic and ferrite microstructure. It is consisting of 40% to 50% of ferrite in an annealed condition. This super duplex microstructure is having ferritic grade high strength that whilst corrosion resistance austenitic grade. Super duplex UNS S32760 is having very good corrosion resistant ability to the range of media. Also, it is having very good resisting ability against crevice corrosion and pitting in seawater and in several other chlorides containing atmosphere with the tough pitting temperature exceeding 50 Deg C. As this alloy is having very good strength, it is used in many applications. This alloy is listed in NACE MR 01 75 for the sour services and has also gained ASME approval for the pressure vessel applications.
