Super Duplex Steel SAF 2507 Pipes are designed from high quality of duplex stainless steel that is used in those applications where exceptional corrosion resistance and strength is highly required. The composition of this pipe is done from chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content. This addition of content results in excellent resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion attacks in hostile environments. In addition to the duplex structure of this alloy of pipes ensures exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. The Pipes further shows excellent resistance to erosion, fatigue and general corrosion in tough climatic circumstances. In addition to these pipes possesses great mechanical properties. The pipes are highly resistant to uniform corrosion by organic acids such as acetic and formic acids. Furthermore, these are also resistance to inorganic acids especially that contain chlorides. Super Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel designed for applications which require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. It has a minimum PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) of 40 and offers superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared to other alloys. Its pressure ratings range from 220 MPa (32 ksi) to 490 MPa (71 ksi), which allows for an increase in service life and performance in demanding environments. Super duplex 2507 also has higher tensile strength than other alloys. Hence, making it suitable for extreme use conditions such as chemical processing plants, desalination plants, power generation stations, offshore oil platforms, etc.

SAF 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel whose hardness can vary depending on several factors, such as the cold working process, thermal treatments, and the grade of the material.
