Stainless Steel 446 is a ferritic stainless steel containing 23-27% chromium, 0.20% carbon, 1.5% manganese, 1.0% silicon, and small amounts of sulfur and phosphorus. Particular composition enhances its oxidation resistance, particularly in sulfur-rich and high-temperature environments up to 1100°C (2012°F).
