Custom 450 stainless is the age hardenable martensitic stainless steel that is exhibiting very good corrosion resistance ability with average strength. Through this alloy is yielding strength greater than 689 MPA in an annealed condition, it is easier to fabricate. Single-step aging treatment allows in developing greater strength with very good toughness and ductility. Generally, it is supplied to the buyers in an annealed condition and there is no need for the heat treatment by the user for various applications. As the corrosion resistance in this alloy is similar to that of other alloys but it having 3 times the yielding strength. It is used in those applications wherein few alloys are not stronger enough. The mechanical properties of the alloys are depending on the selected aging temperature.
