A333 Gr 3 Low Temperature Carbon Steel Pipes have been developed mainly for use in low temperatures. These are low to medium carbon, silicon, high manganese steels which have fine grain structure with equal carbide dispersion. These pipes feature moderate strength in down toughness to -50 deg F. These pipes are used in a piping system when there is a possibility of process fluid temperature falling down to -29 deg C during applications.

Mainly these pipes are subjected from hot and cold working operations. These pipes are also recommended for hot working operations. After hot working operations, it is followed by solution annealing and quenching operations. These pipes may be used without subsequent heat treatment. It is important that workpiece should be quenched. Even partial heating or cooling has been too slow that is always followed by solution annealing and quenching.
This alloy is quite ductile and forms easily. Thus, chances of material failure are less and attaining of desired mechanical properties will increase. The most standard welding operation can be performed by us even resistance and arc welding can be used. The chances of weld corrosion are lower in these pipes. Also, it can be welded with or without filler materials. The cold working rate of the alloy makes it machinable with standard process and machines. Thus, the machining costs of pipes are lower than any other standard pipes.
A333 Gr 3 Low Temperature Carbon Steel Pipes are developed for moderate to higher corrosion resistance in the wide range of intermitting environments. The alloying chemistry of this grade assures excellent resistance to corrosion resistance. It provides good pitting, general and chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance.
