Description of product-
Socket weld pipe fittings can be defined as a pipe arrangement in which pipe is inserted into small area of fitting, valve and flanges. These are used for joining pipes with small diameter. Unique thing about these fitting is that fillet welds are used which lowers the fatigue resistance which makes it good from other pipe fittings. These are mostly used in those industries where transportation of expensive flammable liquids is done and in these liquids even a slight leakage could turn disastrous. The structure of socket weld fittings avoids the above mentioned problem. These fittings are available in different pressure ratings. The alloy which is used in this fitting is alloy 20, which operates by forming carbides and solid solution.
