Hastelloy B2 Fasteners details-
Alloy B2 is also known as UNS N10665. These fasteners are a complete solution for engineering and critical industrial applications. It is comprised of nickel and molybdenum content that is typically used for extreme reducing conditions. These fasteners have carbon, silicon, iron that offers great properties as compared to standard grades. This alloy is less susceptible to lower corrosion resistance in the weld affected zone. The fabricability of alloy is increased when the iron and chromium content added on it. This chemistry results in the higher usage of grade in the wide range of applications. These fasteners are used in the welded conditions and are less susceptible to stress corrosion cracking under the fluctuating temperatures. The special care is taken in the demanding and critical applications. These fasteners are recommended to use in the temperature range between 1000- 1600 deg F. The temperature form a secondary phase that leads to lower in the ductility. Due to the composition of molybdenum content offers excellent resistance to nitric acids, phosphoric acids, and other harsh chemicals. Moreover, it has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion in the weld affected zone. Hastelloy fasteners have good resistance ability to resist organic and inorganic compounds. These fasteners have defined corrosion resistance ability that is similar to other molybdenum containing fasteners. The presence of dust in the structure may affect the mechanical and corrosion resistance properties of grades. It is formed in the hot working temperatures between 1700 deg F- 2250 deg F. It is also processed from solution annealing operations.
