Stainless Steel S31703 Seamless Pipes have great formability, machinability, fabricability, weldability and wettability. Due to its fabricability pipes are easily modified into complex designs with traditional machines. However, with the machinability feature machining cost is decreased. This grade is only required standard machining feeds and speeds for a higher precise finish.
The SS 317L grade has higher weldability, it can be welded by all standard welding process such as TIG, MIG, resistance welding, submerged arc welding and more. We also perform different heat treatment process such as quenching, annealing, and tempering on pipes to achieve desired mechanical attributes. When the hot working operation is performed, materials get desired mechanical attributes while preventing cracking and brittleness. This also removes the changes in the grain structure materials. When the manufacturing process is done, these pipes are processed from finishing operations to remove uneven surfaces, spill ends and roughness. In order to increase the live of pipes some coats are polished on pipes.
