ASTM B407 Incoloy 800H Tubes details-
Incoloy tubes are solid solution iron, chromium and nickel alloy tubes. Typically, these are offered as one, dual certified alloying meeting the elemental requirements of alloy. This material is restricted titanium and aluminium grade. This results in higher creep and stress to rupture properties. These tubes have superior resistance to creep and stress rupture. Typically, these tubes are used for applications that include long term service in the higher temperatures where resistance is required from carburization and oxidation and other types of higher temperature corrosion. Power generation, hydrocarbon processing, and heat furnaces are some of the common applications of ASTM B407 Incoloy 800H Tubes. Due to the presence of alloying elements structure of tubes get resistance from sulfidation. The presence of nickel content increases the resistance to nitriding. The hot working operations of tubes are performed in the temperature between 1600 deg F and 2200 deg F. also, no forming operation should be performed in the temperature below 1600 deg F. the preheating of tools is required to avoid the chill. The hot working operation performed in fast as possible avoiding higher temperatures between 1000 deg F to 1400 deg F. however, the cold working operation is performed in the annealed condition.
